A New Splash of Color at Sea Bird
If you’ve driven down Westhaven lately, you may have noticed Sea Bird Gifts & Candy looks a little different.
Okay… a LOT different.
We recently handed over two of our walls to a couple of artists, and they definitely didn’t give them back the same way they found them.
The side of Sea Bird is now home to a big, colorful “Welcome to Westport” mural — and at the same time, the artists created another mural on the back side of our building.
Two walls. Two murals. One pretty awesome transformation.

Meet the Artists Behind the Walls
The murals were created by Santana Block, a muralist from Kingman, Arizona, alongside his longtime friend Coyote, a Westport fisherman and artist.
Santana got his start with graffiti and spray-paint art as a teenager. Over the years, that creativity grew into commissioned mural work — including some seriously BIG walls. Coyote helped bring Santana to Westport, and together they’ve been adding their artwork around our little coastal town.
Their work can be spotted at other places around the area, including Steepwater Surf Shop, The Local Store in Grayland, and now on two sides of Sea Bird.
Watching both murals come together was pretty darn cool.
But one of our favorite parts came before the paint was even finished: people were already stopping to take pictures.
And that's exactly what we hope keeps happening.
Make It Part of Your Westport Trip
Whether you’re visiting Westport for fishing, surfing, the beach, seafood, or because somebody in the car demanded saltwater taffy (we support that person), stop by and grab a photo with the new Welcome to Westport mural.

These murals feel like more than decoration. They're two new pieces of color and personality added to Westport by artists who are leaving their mark around town one wall at a time.
We’re just pretty darn happy two of those walls are ours.
